While I was a part of the Women’s Policy Institute through the Women’s Fund of Rhode Island, I helped draft and advocate for a bill that would raise the marriage licensing fee and direct some of the added revenue to domestic violence prevention programs. This was a fact sheet I made using Pages as a lobbying tool to demonstrate why legislators should support the bill.
Early life stress (ELS) is a significant risk factor for psychopathology, although there are few functional imaging studies investigating its effects. Previous literature suggests that ELS is associated with changes in structure and function in the medial prefrontal cortex (MPFC), which forms the main anterior node of the default network (DN).
